Steering Box

Hello

I need to install a new steering column for my BT7 because the old one appears to be bent. I picked up a new one (used) but it has a flat top and not the alloy cover of my old one. Does anyone know what car this would be from? is it possible to swap the internals of my old box with the new one?

Also is there a method for installing the steering lever in the right place?

Thanks

Myles

The flat top boxes are from earlier cars (my '57 BN4 has one). They have a quicker steering ratio than the later cars, and the internals are not interchangeable.
