Steering Arm Colors

Back in 2009 I posted about finding green paint on the steering arm of a Bugeye of a friend. I now have that car and am re-assembling. The Whitephrog that I previously restored clearly had yellow steering arms originally. The springs on the Whitephrog had a leaf green stripe down the side of the spring from top to bottom. The steering arms on the car I am now restoring seem to have been painted that same leaf green originally. Thoughts from this learned group?

Was looking up something else in the Horler Original Sprite and Midget book, and came across this:

"From HAN7-28369 and GAN2-18473 (February 1963), the steering arms were revised and marked with a line of green or white paint to identify them from the superseded steering arms"
