Carb bodies are in the mail from Joe. $79 includes new throttle bearings, rods and butterflys, all fited. He said this should solve the lack of low idle and the wandering of engine speed except at higher RPM.

Front brake shoes are in the post from Peter, as you remember the ones I have from Moss seem small. Will not adjust tight. We will see, the cheep fix seemed to be shoes from another source ie not Moss. ????? Can not see where anything else could be a problem in there.

Sister and husband comming for a couple tomorrow but I bet I will still get the carbs on when they arrive, hehe.

Miss Agatha says the weather is so nice she wants out.

I did hear her at 3K one time. Awsum.

New front brake shoes came, but I got to go out a bit. Maybe this evening or tomorrow morning.

Brakes are perfect now. No pumping, no nothing just perfect.

Carbs did not arrive today, maybe tomorrow.

Ha Ha, Jack, I could just picture you out, all antsy and just chafing to get back and "git 'er done!!", and you DID!!! Glad it is all working so well!!! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/lol.gif /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/thumbsup.gif

i don't know ... i could just see jack going somewhere with the wife ... as she gets out of the car and looks back there's a trailer with something covered in a tarp. She turns back to jack and asks, "is that who i think it is?". jack just reply's "nope". later that day jack is no where to be found! oh and his latest posting reads " got the brakes done today, no problem ... perfect!"

You guys are bad. Let me share what the problem was.

I SCREWED UP. I know hard to beleive.

I left an adjuster out of the front drivers side brake. Only one was in there.

No, let me tell you what it did. It took two pumps always and then was hard as a rock.

Hmm, Needed more fluid to make a longer throw to engage that brake. Added an adjuster one was in there, missed the other somehow. Immidiate fix, Miss Agatha is happy as a clam.

Tsk, Tsk, helps to have ALL the bits in Jack! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif Glad it was something simple though!! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif
