Instead of trying to repair a fender I was able to find a pretty nice used one. Of course, to replace the fender you have to take off the windshield which also means you have to take out the dashboard which pretty well guts the MGB. I did it, and before I took it apart the B ran well. When I put the windshield back on and the dash back in, now I can't get the B to even turn over. I've checked all the dash connections and lights, etc. but I can't even get the B to try and start. Could it possibly be the Starter relay, even though this was recently replaced. Relay's for the B can be pretty expensive and the one I have was an aftermarket which probably wasn't all that bad cost wise. Can something other than the stock ($70) relay be used?
I did charge the battery and get good volts and amps coming from it (new battery anyway that was replaced when I replaced the relay and fuse block). I get 12 volts to the fuse block off the starter. Any ideas would be appreciated.
