Starting new project, joined forum

Greetings to all,
Joined the forum because of a new acquisition. Wasn't looking but discovered a 63 TR4 on Craigslist for a few hundred and couldn't pass it up. I own other Brit cars, a 73 Midget and a 51 MGTD. Also have a 71 BSA Thunderbolt. I'm not a mechanic but I do like to work on these things. Here's a pic of the TR being transported home.

I had a 69 TR6 when I was a young man, in the 70s, which was my favorite car of all time. Been wanting an older model in the TR line for a while. Looking forward to getting started with this one.

Seems the picture I attempted to place in my previous post was too large. Resized it and hope it comes through this time.

Trying again.

I think I finally got it small enough, Here's the picture of the 63 TR4 I just acquired:

The problem isn't the photo size. When you link to another site like Photobucket, it can be any size you like (although PB will reduce it, if it is larger than their limit).

Instead, you're getting the initial part of the link inserted twice somehow. IOW, instead of
<div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Code:</div><div class="ubbcode-body ubbcode-pre" ><pre>
TR4061811.jpg
</pre>
you are somehow winding up with
<div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Code:</div><div class="ubbcode-body ubbcode-pre" ><pre>
TR4061811.jpg
</pre>
If you take out the first "https://", the link works fine

BTW, looks like a fun project. Congratulations!

Thanks for the help with the picture tr3driver. Should have been paying attention when I pasted the link.

Hi There Donalvin,

"Welcome" to the BCF. It surely appears you made yourself a heck of a buy for a few "Hundred Bucks"!

Enjoy the TR & the BCF.

Regards, Russ

Thanks toysrrus. The TR has more rust than shows in the photos and the price of body parts at the Moss Motors web site is daunting. I'll be spending the first year of ownership getting together various replacements for the fender areas, rocker panels, etc. Keeping an eye on Ebay but that's always hit or miss. I am NOT a paint and body guy but I am fortunate enough to have a son-in-law who's father is a retired body man. He now works out of his own shop and primarily does hot rods and such. He's very good.
