7 hours Advance auto. 34 bucks. Lucas 1968 build date, rebuilt in england.

Looks good inside as well. Will test it tomorrow.
 
How can they make money at that price? That is just amazing? What other LBC parts can you order from them?
 
It's pretty hit-or-miss but you can get a lot of parts that are interchangeable with newer Spridgets, including some brake parts (hydraulics, calipers, shoes and pads etc.) clutch kits, electrical (such as Jacks starter). Not always the best of quality though they often surprize you, but always at a good price and good warranty/guarantee, and if you shop on line, they have a "good-better-best" kind of choice system. I like to look stuff up on line and then go to the local store to pick it up.
 
Wonder if they have exhaust pipes, hmmm.
 
You could just do a search on line, they usually have a picture of the part too! I keep a listing of all my vehicles on their site. It is quite user friendly.
 
On exhaust anything, guess that has gone to places like Midas.
 
? Jack, exactly what car did you cross to get the match for the starter. I live close to VB, but as you know, their quality is sometime suspect. I've pulled a 5-6 yr old motor 5 speed conversion out that I had installed a new ring gear on my flywheel and the ring gear was pretty well chewed up. On my new sc motor I've had about 6 lbs taken off the flywheel with another new ring gear and it is "pretty". So I need to get a new starter before every thing goes back together. Thanks........

Right up to the switch to the 1500, they all had the same starter, that is the break where NOTHING interchanges!!
