stainless steel stove top question

Might well ask here

This week we finally got delivered a new fridge and stove - COVID has messed up supply chains more than I can express.

Stove is a 5 element gas stove and the top of the stove is stainless. Everything on the interwebnet tells me how to clean stainless but, is there anything I can use to protect it in advance that might make cleanup easier later?

thoughts all?

Easiest way to keep that cooktop clean:

Nyet... we have a ss cooktop, and it us a pain to keep clean. Bar keepers friend, a lot of rinsing to get the soap residue off, then a microfiber towel to “polish”.

Love cooking with it, but hate the cleanup!

Stainless front with a black cook top top here, a royal PITA to keep clean. But it came free with the new fridge. Mitsy couldn't pass on it. *ARGH*
