what do you guys think about installing a Stainless exhaust system on a 3000?

Any Pros and Cons?

Is it better than the monza system?

What do you all think?

Well my experience with That exact duplicate mandrel bent one made in Canada is it is a piece of Junk !!!

IMOP,
Nothing beats a hi quality original exhaust system. The SS ones are expensive, sound tinny, can have the wrong shape, can be difficult to install and seal. :yesnod:

I have a Monza, and I like it just fine, though I drag it on the edge to my garage everytime I pull in or out (fault of the car, not the exhaust system).

I've had a Monza system for 29 years and love the sound. It was not too difficult to install. Yes, it hangs low, but don't they all? No rust that I'm aware of. Pretty amazing!

Have stainless on my Healey and Jag......looks great sounds good, no rust from water sitting in the mufflers over the winter.

Bought my stainless BJ8 system from Healey Surgeons...had it on the car for 15 years .Installed it in an hour ..loved it. With the contemporary system had to replace the rear mufflers very two years due to internal rust out.

I have a Bell stainless. Nice sound, unlike some of the others. Quality product, good fit. Bonus is that the rear resonators are not installed on my BJ8 (early style exhaust) Better clearance, easier to work on.

Engel Imports Michigan. $540 then. Big price variation. I've seen them go for $1000 so shop around. Bell is a high end product. I believe they are imported from Britain. I put the BJ7 exhaust on my BJ8 and like the sound better than the BJ8 exhaust. The frame on my 65 has the holes and welded nuts in the frame to accept either type. Standard muffler clamps aren't quite the right diameter for stainless. I put a stainless sleeve over the manifold pipe to exhaust pipe. These sleeves have a slit so they compress to the right diameter. They are available in Home Depot plumbing dept.

Well... I found 3 sources for Stainlees exhaust systems for my 3000, Falcon, Big Bore and Bell, I'm thinking more towards on the bell system.

Any thoughts, or experiance out there in regards to these systems.

Roger
