Hi all, Basil is after me to post, so here goes. I've got two Stags trying to make one driver. Please feel free to visit my blog and leave "helpful" comments, after all, misery loves company. The URL is https://triumphstagproject.blogspot.com/ Thanks! Ross

Welcome, Ross! Good to have another Stag owner here.

If you aren't already aware, check this site out.

Also, one of our regulars here is Glenn Merrell. Very active in the Stag circles.

Look forward to hearing of your progress.

Mickey

OOPS - Just noticed down in your blog you've already hooked up with the TTA drive!

Welcome Ross. The Stag is a great car and it is such a shame that the build quality was not up to much when they were new. A nicely rebuilt Stag is truely a lovely machine. They have one of the nicest exhaust notes going.
Are there many Stags in the USA?

Hi all, and thanks for the warm reception. I believe Glenn Merrill puts the number of Stags remaining in the US at around 800. A note on the Triumph Trans-American Chrity Drive: I tried to donate my J-Type tranny for their car, and (fortunately) the logistics were too difficult, so they found another donor. In the meantime, I found another Stag that had pretty much what I needed (rust-free body) to get a running car. Now the J-type and the engine with 3000 miles since rebuild are in the rust-free body, and I'm working out the kinks. I owned a Stag in the 80's and had to sell it, along with many other toys, when #1 son started driving and I changed careers. Sweet cars, as long as you pay attention to them.

Hello Ross and welcome. That's a nice story on your blog and it's great to have two cars, one for parts and a better half that actually likes the cars as well!!

You can feel free to post pics here too. We're always looking for something to read and learn about when we're not shoveling another 8 or 10 inches of global warming. oops....did I say that!! Sorry!!

Hi again, Ross! Ross, it turns out, is my neighbor. Well, sort of. I saw he lived in New Mexico and inquired what part and turns out he's right here in Crystal City! (aka Edgewood), just on the other side of town.
