Did anything change just before they started squealing? I replaced an alternator once with a rebuilt unit that had been supplied with the wrong diameter pulley; and it's belt would squeal like crazy on cold mornings. With the smaller pulley, the belt just couldn't handle the load.
Another problem worth checking for, I have seen belts wear until they ride on the bottom of the pulley slot, instead of the sides. A new belt is the only solution.
Belt dressings will help sometimes, but generally are only a short-term solution.
