Hi,
It's been awhile since I've been on site- great new look.

I'm up here in the Great White North- Canada, on the north shore of Lake Huron- Snow is immanent.
It's almost time to put my baby away for the winter. It has been a great year for driving. I want to fix one problem before I put her away.
I have a '76B with an annoying squeaky rear shock. The bounce on the fender is a bit less than the opposite side but the car handles well and I don't bottom out. Is this shock fixable or do I have to replace it?
Also, I would like to know the readers opinion- store the car with gas tank full or empty?

It is more than likely the shock link, not the shock itself. There is a rubber bushing in the shock link which eventually goes bad. Replace the link and all should be well.

If one side of the car bounces more than the other, you may have a leaking shock which needs oil. You can occasionally fill the shock as needed, or better yet replace the pair of them along with a fresh pair of shock links.

Ordering a pair of shocks from Worldwide Imports should guarantee that you never have a leaky shock again. For shock oil, use either Armstrong shock oil from Moss Motors or other British car suppliers, or 20-weight motorcycle shock oil.
