T-Series Squeaky clutch spring...?

Well, it's finally driving me crazy enough to ask about it so here we are. Everything works well so no probs there but I really think it is the clutch spring that is squeaking when I release the clutch pedal. I have used the old WD40 on it and it still squawks. Is there a specific place to lube other than that or am I doomed to have a rhythmic accompaniment as I drive? By the way, any chance this will lead to some clutch issues in the future?

White Lithium grease...believe it or not, WD-40 is not a lubricant!

WD-40="Water Displacement formula 40"... It's a water displacement chemical. Took 'em 40 tries to get it right. Put some white lithium grease on it like Tony said... on it and the hingepin that the pedal rotates on. Lithium grease comes in spraycans too. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif

BTW, WD-40 is good to spray under the distrubutor cap, next time you have it off, though. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

'bout all it's good for, IMHO. It's no substitute for REAL lubricant.

its also good to spray into door locks that get water inside them and give you a fit with getting the key into the lock to unlock the lock..... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif

I prefer graphite in door locks myself, just a "pinch" /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I go with "dry" lube in locks as well.

WD-40 is good....hmmmmm, er, I don't know where...I've not owned a can since, er, um, ah...I don't remember!

It's okay if you can't find the CRC 2-26!

Well, it (WD40) does clean oil off the garage floor but I'll get the grease...probably have some somewhere.
Thanks!
