sprite lut nuts?

I've purchased a set of old american racing mags that I would like to use on my bugeye sprite. Unfortunately these rims take the old shank or sleeve style lug nuts that were also used by minilite and other companies. Anyone know of a source for these with the proper thread for my sprite?
 
Couldn't you turn a shank onto your lug nuts?

I'm on Waterloo Road quite often, but usually in a new-gen white Miata (often to watch the guys flying the R/C planes behind the Concert Field).
My Spridget is still getting reassembled for the upcoming race season (crossing my fingers since it's only a few weeks away).
