Sprite and MIdget 50th celebration 2008 help

Sprite and Midget enthusiasts.
The 50th anniversary of the Sprite is approaching in 2008. There is a movement afoot in the US to celebrate the Austin Healey Sprite and its brother the MG Midget sometime in the summer of 2008. An attempt is being made to decide where, exactly. A suggestion to be centrally located requires interested parties to say where they are, or will be. To that end, please enter your location on this map site <https://www.frappr.com/midgetspriteowners> https://www.frappr.com/midgetspriteowners You are not making a commitment to attend, we just want to know potential numbers and locations. This is a first step in the process. Other details, information, and pleas for assistance will be announced on this and other lists, forums, and BBs. Thanks for your help.

I'm on it.

Me too! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/savewave.gif Sounds like a good idea. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif

Done.

Hopefully I have mine back on the road by then /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif I signed up for the frapr thing but it still won't let me post a marker on the map. Bye the way, how come Asheville ain't even on that map? It says [You must be a member of 'Midget Sprite Owners' to add a place]. How do I become a member /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

OK, I'm on it. A date needs to be set soon, so that i can reserve the date.

I'm on as well. It'll be a long drive from Utah no matter where it is, so I'd better get working on that 1275/5sp thing!

I'm in.

Personally, I would like to see one location, but being a realist (at least sometimes), I can see a problem since the US of A is so large. Concurrent events at several locations might be the way to go

Coming from the man in IL, which is sort of close to everything (in the big picture) /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/jester.gif

I think for a 50th celebration, if it's going to be big enough I could be persuaded to do some significant travelling. I just need about 2 years to get all that work done...

Plan to take Miss Agatha on a trailer behind the truck. No way I drive 100 miles cross country in her at my age.

If it's somewhere in the midwest, I would definitely attend. I'm like you Jack, going on a long trip in a Midget is not good for one's back.
