Springtime in Montana

That's severe weather, man.

I hope they have lotsa indoor sports. Sheesh, how do they survive???

The storm went to the southeast of my location. It was in the 60's on Sat. and Sun., had the TR out.
Am dreaming of this:

Lake fork of Rock Creek about 5 miles into the Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness area. The top picture is of one of my favorite fishing spots. Nothing large but nice Cutthroat and Brook Trout. The scenery is worth the hike. In a few more months I can drive the TR to the trail head and go.

We just do... I've met people who have lived in the far north of Canada (Yukon, Northwest Territories), people who moved up there and stayed for years, despite the ultra-cold winters, there is tremendous beauty up there...

Don't believe me? Check out these photos, not mine, I only wish... https://www.flickr.com/photos/brosha/sets/676074/

quite the storm... The pics on the news site don't do it justice at all!

Mark, Can I come fishing with you sometime?!!!!!!! wow!

The top picture looks like a spot I use to fish just south of Redlodge I had a racoon steal 4 trout from us there, We threw them in a snow bank with a branch pionting down as we walk up the creek on the way back down brekfast was gone!

It's so bad up here the university of north dakota closed today. To give you an idea the last time the school shut down was close to 8 years ago when a very bad ice storm made it to dangerous to walk on campus from the falling branches. Otherwise get your butt to class be it -40 and 40mph winds or full blown blizzard. A few years ago it was -47 and windy and the university was going to shut down but the univ. president decided that the students were just going to goof off so they can go to class instead.

Snow was up to the hood of my truck and packed under it. Took 4low and I had to lock the rear axle to get out. At 8pm last night the area was snow free and now it looks like a winter wonderland and this is heavy wet snow which we dont need. Almost all the plows are being used for the flood so the roads for the most part of the day were 4x4 only.

Anyone make pontoons that will fit on an MGB?

Car was much further to the right and the snow further to the left before I took the photo

Anytime you want. I have a cabin south of Red Lodge. It is about 60 miles or so to the NE entrance to Yellowstone Park going over the Beartooth pass at 11,000'. You are welcome to use the cabin, there is enough room at the cabin site for you to leave a trailer and proceed into Yellowstone with your LBC. It might be a bit tight getting into the cabin with a large motor home and trailer, the road is good but the trees are close. I extend this invitation to anyone in the BCF who would like to make a tour of the area. Wife and I have driven the TR over the pass and into the park several times, great fun.

As I have mentioned before, I had to install a rather expensive above ground septic system a few years ago and I am still trying to lower the cost per flush.

Chris, there are alot of good places to fish along Rock Creek, all very scenic, if you hiked into the wilderness, you were there.

Seriously guys just PM me.

I got a 1/2" of frickin springtime on my yard right now! :wall: :wall: :cryin:
