Since Modesto according to Forbes Mag is the 8th worst place in the US. I thought I show you all the misery I have to live with.

Kind of a contradiction there my friend, isn't it?

We'll whip in, load you up and get you outta that absolutely AWFUL place before you have time to blink 3 times!!! Ok, ok.....so who comes up with those polls anyway? Makes you wonder you know??

Thanks
I think I'll rough it out. Living in the Valley has benifits. This time of year is one (unless you have allergies)

Spring isn't quite here yet... But then we are the frozen north country... This was the scene on Sunday (about -16 Celcius), and it didn't get any better so far this week

Starting to warm up by Thursday again...

Nature is about to awaken here in Central VA!

Forsythia, redbuds and Bradford pears are beginning to bloom. And yesterday, for the first time I heard the "peeper" frogs peeping down by the stream.

Seems like it's been a long winter. I'm soooooo glad Spring is here!

". . . nature gay adorning . . ."

Thank goodness!

10F here this morning. Brrr...

Spring is still in transit here, delivery date TBD.

Big storm here yesterday. Not much snow right here, but 12" - 16" within 100 miles of here. 40 - 50 MPH winds. Below zero last night... I hear Fargo's a freakin' disaster. Drifting snow -- Interstate closed...

Blossoming trees in March is some kind of infernal abomination. 'Tain't proper, nor natural! Though I did see one of the neighborhood groundhogs wandering yesterday morning. Our groundhogs aren't done hibernating yet on "Groundhog Day." But now that they <span style="font-style: italic">are</span> out, spring can't be tooooo far off (I hope).

Well, I just spent 3 days cutting my lawn, trimming all my shrubs & monkey grass, blowing leaves, pruning Jerri's roses, cleaning outside sitting areas, planting some new bushes along stream & azealeas in the front yard....now, I just have to finish pruning my grapevines.

..........think I'm way ahead of things this year! (Heck, I even hauled 30-something old wheels & tires to the dump!)

Oh, & the lawnmower went in y'day for annual maintenance.

I feel pretty good about myself!

All that ambition, Tony!!! Wow.

I looked sternly at all th' leaves inna front yard yesterday.
I may go out an' give 'em another staring today... :smirk:

& I forgot to mention that all our planting beds have a new layer of pine straw over them...did that Monday.

Doc, I used a new philosophy: <span style="font-style: italic">"You don't have to finish in 1 day."</span> Made Spring work go easier...y'day afternoon I started pruning grapes...I'll get back to them later when the temp rises above 50 (Mon, Tue is was in the 70's; Wed dipped down to the 40's).

Best thing is: They *will* be there when ya get back to 'em. Grapes don't run so fast. :jester:

No wonder you're so grumpy lately....that's ugly in March.
