Spring is finally here in the great white north.
The 62 is growling and pulling at me to let it out.The Lister started quite easily after being in hibernation for 5 months.
The 62 went under scrutiny this winter to make sure it would pass any inspection. This is because our goverment insurance crack down.Too many street racing deaths. They will even pull a car out of a show so we are ready.
After doing all the small minor things I decided to back the car out into the sunshine.as per usual it started up instantly.Well much to my surprise after it warmed up it would not turn off.Pullled a wire off the ballast.determined it was circulating power back through the igniter wire. After all these years I determined there was not enough resistance. The cure was to wire a bulb in the line.Problem solved. Now i need to check out the Lister as the alternator is wired exactly the same as the 62.
Oh yes on Monday we get the 62 licensed and let it out to do its stuff on a run with our club

Good deal, Chuck!

I put the snow blower in my shed in "the back forty", so I sure hope the white stuff is gone. I've had the MGB out a half dozen times (all top down), but it's not super warm here yet.

Good to hear that your Sunbeams are out on the road again Chuck. Our spring started a few months ago and it has been great for top down driving. Pretty soon it will be way too hot though......! Eric

I have yet to get anything of mind out, seems like whenever I have time lately it'l raining. Nearly a foot so far this month...

Well we took the 62 out for a nice drive to have lunch. The destination is about 20 miles from home where met up with club members
I forgot over the winter just how great this car runs.Like a content cat it just purrs so nice it even impresses my wife.
At 65 MPH the motor is turning 1500 to 1550 RPM in 5 th gear

Nicer weather tomorrow so we will see how much time there will be left after everything is done that must be done tomorrow

It really must be spring
I took the 62 yesterday to pick up parts..When I left it was sunny and clear.Got to town and it rained on me but the top was up so no harm done
Sure glad my car is a driver

HOHO

Did I say spring was here

We got a real nice winter storm over the weekend.Highways were closed but still people will drive.5 people killed on the highways

At least it is sunny again and warming up
