Spridget ignition

Hello
I have a 1275 former F prod car now H. I purchased this car to go vintage racing, I also have a 71 round arch about 2/3 built. I am running a distributor with wires that leave the cap on the side, with a petronix replacement for the points. I have seen both MSD ignitions and distributor caps that have the wires leaving the cap from the top. What are the differences, are they permitted by all vintage groups. Which is the best way to go?

Yes you can run any distributor that will fit your car, they are several Mallory, 1-2-3, Aldon to name a few, and yes you can switch to a top mount cap, Gordon has them at the B Hive, they are much easier to live with than the side mount caps, also I have a good friend, Jeff who can rebuild your distibutor if needed.
