Spray paint tip

Thought I might post a simple but effective tip. When ever you paint a car or large part, before you close up shop put a box fan out and blow air across the paint. The key is to release solvent by having air move across the surface, it will speed cure time and keep you from having to polish a second time later due to light solvent flush die back etc. Only do this after the paint has tacked up.

Speaking of spray paint, my wife has a fair sized scrape in teh lower rear rocker panel on her Dark Grey BMW Z4. Went to dealr to get touchup paint and they wanted $40+ for a smaill (tiny) bottle of paint with a nail polish brush. Well, I found out that you can go to NAPA paint center (which we have here) and they can mix up just about any color you want in a rattle can. That's what I did and a whole can of paoint was $12! What a deal!
