General Tech Spray can shaking

I had a spray can of weld through primer that I could not get the little ball to start clicking no matter how hard I shook it. It was spraying badly as well.

Thinking I had seen a can shaker I decided to make one.

Taking a hose clamp I attached the can to a Sawzall blade in my Sawzall. I turned it on carefully and shook the can for 30 seconds. Ball clicks easily now and the can sprays properly now.

that is a good idea. the brand of weld though primer that I tried caused a lot of spatter. I gave up on it. What brand do you use?

That's a god idea.
One of the model railroad sites suggested warming the cam slightly. I put one BRIEFLY under warm running water, not boiling nor leaving it there for minutes.

When I built my house I built in a shop and it included a sink. I used quite a few black rattle cans and I always warmed the rattle cans in hot water for 2 to 3 min. Seemed to help with the flow of the paint. Saw no ill effects.
