Though not as commonly seen these days, during the 1950's Sports Racers were ubiquitous and potent competitors at racing events. To celebrate these iconic cars the Vintage Racer Group will feature "Sports Racers from the 1950's" at its September 16-18 races at new Jersey Motorsport Park's Lightning circuit.
The race group will be limited to sports racers (not production cars) under 2000 cc's displacement, either front or rear engined. Representative cars include Lotus 11, 15 and 17, Elva MK I-V, Lola MK I, Cooper Bobtail, Jabro, Porsche 550, etc., along with a number of "Specials".
Last week I composed and contacted an email group of about 65 people who, according to VRG and VSCCA rosters, may own eligible cars. If you own such a car and did not receive an email announcement and would like to receive further information about this event please contact me at:michael.oritt@gmail.com or 305-793-9467 or reply to this post. Similarly If you know someone who might own an eligible car please either forward them this message or send me their contact information
