Spitfire Spitfire trunk light switch

I replaced the trunk light bulb on my 78 Spit and it still didn't work so I went looking for the switch to clean it and I can't find one! Where should it be? The wire goes into a wrapped harness with the taillight wires and seems to just disappear.

On A 6 its on the right side boot hinge which is next to the light.

On a USA Left hand drive its on the left behind the hinge,On mine the switch is kinda tempermental usually its corrosion on the spade connectors, other times(not offen)its the spade connections behind the light.I had the same trouble long ago & just simply removed the board & looked closly at the connections but did purchase a new one, there inexpensive.VB's are cheaply mfg BUT Moss IS HIGHEST quality.Good Luck.....Ken&Whitelightning.....DON'T throw away the OLD parts!.

...here's where to look....

Mine only works half the time too...
