Spitfire Spitfire plug wires

My usual supplier isn't open today so I went to Canadian Tire, and asked for the ends to crimp onto some spare wires I already have.
They don't stock just the ends, and after the kid looks Triumph under General Motors for a while a somewhat older guy steps in to help, explaining that Triumph is made by Morris Garages like MG, and establishes that they do sell the sets for a 79 Spitfire, very reasonable at $17.12 but don't have them in stock.

So I took a look and found a set for a modern car with the right ends, looking through the plastic package without opening it I see what looks like a coil wire and six plug wires, various lengths, its marked domestic so likely for a V6, and $25.99, so being the impatient sort, I buy the set.

Opening the package I find not 6 but 7 plug wires,(I assume someone removed one, I don't know of any 7 cylinder cars!),
so I guess I have a few spares for the TR4.
At least I did get what I needed!

The kid must be getting smarter....

Last time I was in, it took me half hour to explain to him my TR7 wasn't a Ford.
But think about it Simon... If a TR8 takes 8 wires, then why doesn't my TR7 take 7? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/canpatriot.GIFTire is the best.

Maybe that's what I have, a rare set of TR7 plug wires by Morris Garages, should be worth a bundle!
Any offers?
Simon.
