On the spitfire engine does the oil thrower on the front of the crank face so the concave surface faces forward or toward the rear of the car?
 
Can you take a picture of it? Maybe its the fact I got woken up 4 hours early and still don't have any coffee in me, but I can't quite recall what part your talking about.
