My sons and I were cleaning out our project Spitfire last night. I took note that the boot seal is completely worthless and unrecognizable. It looks melted with no discernible profile at all.
I know that seal kits are available but I also have access to generic seals both at work and in my collection of leftovers at home. Can anyone provide a picture or good description of what the Mk4 Spitfire boot lid seal is like? Is it a bulb on top of a U-channel, a bulb off the side of a U-channel, a wing off the side of a U-channel... or something entirely different? As I said, the "thing" on my car is totally unrecognizable so I have no idea what is supposed to be there. Thanks!
