Greetings all!
This is my first post, so please be gentle. I am a spitfire owner from the Wash dc area who is at that critical 99% stage of a restoration (you know, the point which you NEVER get past, no matter how hard you try!) I'm wondering if anyone has any info on what the original battery looked like on a 1975 Fed Spitfire. I've seen these red and white batteries for sale on ebay (allegedly NOS in storage for years) and also some "tar top" ones at an antique battery site, although those actually seem a little TOO vintage for a 70's Spit.
Anyone have any ideas?
