Spitfire Spitfire 1300 camshaft dimensions

Can anyone tell me what the journal diameters are on a camshaft for a 1300 spitfire engine? I'm trying to determine if I can use bearings from a 1300 in my Midget 1500. Thanks.

Looks like those are the same dimensions as my 1500. That engine must not have any cam bearings either. I know some of the 1300's had bearings, maybe the earlier ones. Does your manual have any info on those?

Data quoted is for later Spitfire Mk2 (1147) and Spitfire Mk3 (1296) as well as the equivalent Herald engines. There is a "Note: Camshaft bearings were introduced at GA177973, GD59745, FC61023. Size of bore in block identical to Herald 13/60 and Spitfire Mk.3." Sorry, but I don't seem to have comparable data for the MkIV and 1500.

The early, small journal 1300 had cam bearings. The later big bearing 1300, like mine, the cam rides directly in the block, like the 1500.
