the biggest concern i would have is the quality and craftsman ship of the drive train swap. it could be a really nice job or a endless night mare if things arent aligned properly and welding is so so. there's not much to these frames so if you start welding and dont plate and control your heat you could be causing a recipe for disaster.
none the less it beats the harold with toyota motor sticking out of the hood i saw a few weeks ago.
Had the DCOEs on the TR7 16V Sprint as well. One car I wish I still owned. Can't imagine what a nightmare a TR8 with the cross ram weber setup would be like.
I drove a 2002 on the local BMW dealer's lot that had two side draft webers. I was very disappointed. It was bloody cold natured and really needed a fifth gear, whcih it didn't have. I suspect this car was set up for track days for which it may have been wonderful, but it was a disappointment on the streets.
