Spitfire Spit Pistons

I have a 1978 1500 that I am about to rebuild. I was wondering if I can install the 9:1 compression pistons without any head interference/valve or balance issues.

Thanks,
Bob

I do believe they are a straight fit. The lower compression is due to the dish in the piston. Everybody rebuilds with the higher compression pistons.

No problem at all. They both have the same head. The dished pistons were just for America.
