speedsters touring the US; not British, but cool

Glancing out my office window here in Albany (<span style="font-weight: bold">New York</span>) just a few minutes ago, I spotted a Model A roadster and some sort of "speedster" parked on the street. Obviously, it was time to investigate! By the time I got down to the street, several more cars had pulled up. There were two stock Model As, about half a dozen or so Model A- and Model T-based speedsters...and one speedster based on a 1932 Buick, complete with straight eight!

Other than the one Model A roadster with <span style="font-weight: bold">Arkansas</span> plates, pretty much the whole group was from <span style="font-weight: bold">California</span>; they're just "touring the country" and wanted to stop here in Albany, check out the historic Capitol Building, etc. ...

I gotta start bringing my camera to work!

Wonder if it was any of these guys:

Very cool for sure.
If only I had 48 hours per day, I get involved in these too!

I only got a quick glance at some of them, but this one I think actually was part of the group:

Oh, and I meant to mention before that a couple of the cars were not from California; rather, they were from Washington State!

Seems to me that encounters like this are essentially random, you have to somehow know the right person or have just the right luck... Unfortunately my luck has been rather poor in this matter, I do know that this summer a small touring group of vintage WW1-era cars (Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost, Peugeot, etc...) passed within spitting distance of Calgary without me having a clue about it... :cryin:
