Speedo Drive new picture still ?????????????????

Evening all:

I'm continuing work on my over drive and as usual I'm waiting for parts so I decided to go ahead and install the NOS rev counter I bought on eBay a couple of months ago, But when I looked at it I realized I got something different than I expected. This is not a TR2 - 3A unit. Not with that long steel proboscus on it.
I apoligize for the washed out picture. It is a brass unit with steel gears. The brass parts fits my distributer pedestal just fine but the gear shaft does not. Does anyone have any idea what make and model it might go to? I would like to think that it is a Triumph but I have no parts literature on other models so I'm in the dark so to speak.
I checked and I could use the NOS brass with my old geared stem but I'm hesitant about doing that.

New Info, new picture. Teach me to do these things late in the evening! You were right Randall, I just missed it. I had in mind that it was for the distributer pedestal. One question remains though. The new unit is approx. 3/4" longer than the one that came out of mine. I know that they had a later A type because that is the one I have. My question is would the new one I have be for the older version? Check the picture.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!
