MG Lovers,

My daughter-in-law, a fellow Film Noir fan, gave me a movie from the early 50's called 'Kiss Me Deadly'. The only reason I bring it up, even though it is a VERY B movie and is not considered 'Film Noir', it is resplendent with classic LBCs..

The character, Mike Hammer, played by a noted B actor whose name eludes me, enters the plot driving a Jag XK 120 that is subsequently wrecked by the bad guys with him and the heroin in it. He then borrows an MG-TD from a mechanic friend and proceeds to drive it around town... It is eventually replaced with a drop dead gorgeous black 1954 Corvette, the last model year with a 6...

Not worth watching for the acting nor the plot, but great to watch for the early LBCs and pre 60's American iron...

Just thought I would mention it...

Colin,

Thanks for the clarification... Ah yes... Google.. didn't think of it...

It's not film noir, but it is Elvis - perhaps at his best.

Viva Las Vegas...What more could you want. Elvis Presley. Las Vegas back when men were men and Guido worked the front and Dom was your friend for the "best shows". Also, Ann-Margaret in all her glory.

The racing scenes in the movie are not to be missed either. A wrecked Jag turns into a MGA coupe somehow - editing.

Watch it.

SteveTR,

As Elvis would say.. 'ah, Thank yoouu very much'...
