Plugs on my BJ8 are 7 years old now and although clean and free of wear, I would like to change them. They are Champion UN12y but I cannot find them. Where are you all getting them these days? I know there are other choices but I like to drive original if I can.

Well TH Just go out and get you a set of Bosh WR7DP plugs and you will think you are driving much improved originals

OH Well Try JC Whitney or Club Plug USA .However the plug will not carry the old part number. But they are Cheeeeeep! :laugh: Also see Summit Racing E-Bay---The good--Keoke-- :angel:
 
NGK BP6ES; hard to beat. If fouled, they will clean themselves much better than the Champions (if you can find them).

Don't even fall for the platinum hype, they won't last in these engines any time at all.
 
Yeah Randy, the NGK plugs are good too but I have run, with excellent results, the Bosh Platinum's since they came out and like the broad heat range they have.---Keoke

I guess there will always be exceptions :smile:

They certainly didn't take well to my Webers; I doubt I got 500 miles before the center electrode disapeared into the porcelin. The car didn't run so good then...

Come to think of it, I didn't fair much better when I put them in a nice little MGBGT I had back then (running on twin SUs, as original).
 
Randy, you just need to put a little red wine in the gas tank and some Lou Rawls on the radio. That electrode will come right back out.


How much voltage is that coil puttin' out?

I have 8 of the plugs your looking for if you want them.

2 of them are still in their original packets.

I may have had them in my Healey at some time but cannot be sure.

If I did then they weren't in there for any length of time as they still look new just a little discolored that's all.

Best of all they are free because I don't have a use for them.

They are yours if you want them just send me a pm with your address and they will be in the mail probably Friday.

Sorry you're not the only magpie with healey parts. I was lucky, they came in a box with a whole host of other goodies.
