TR6 Spark plug question

I believe the 'C' stands for copper. I would think L87Y and L87YC would be interchangeable.

So-called TRactor engines (TR2s, 3s, 4s) use plugs with a ½" reach. I think I learned from this thread that TR6s have plugs with a ¾" reach.

Your pinging, of course, can possibly be addressed by either higher octane fuel or less timing advance.

At the risk of reigniting the feud..... I had problems with the Champion plugs a few years back and switched to the NGK. I wonder where the Champions were originally made and where they are made now?

Checked my boxes today...Mexico.

Cheers
Tush
