I made a handy widget giving me a bit of extra storage space for small parts/oil filter what-have-you for my BT7. I am sure this would work on other cars since this unused deadspace is available. Using a tobacco tin with a lid as a basis for a mold, I made a removable storage cubby with fiberglass.

I can remove this for shows. I can fit a spare cap, rotor, points, wires (not prewired). Or a oil filter, points etc. And I now also have blocked off the hole so I can place a small bag of items in the cubby above. I use ziplocks to keep it all high and dry.

Pretty nifty gizmo. I am still finding cubby holes to stash my spare parts.

You guys do know that they make these waterproof storage bins many sizes for small boats. Think there is one at 4" and 6" to suit your needs.
 
Ain't fiberglass fun.....I just discovered it.

Carbon fiber would be neat to play with also.
 
A Tupper cake holder fits perfectly under your spare tire.
