Space Saving Spare

Anybody know what kind of space-saver spare tire will fit a rubber bumper wheel patern? I'm trying to create more room in the trunk.

Some trailer tires/wheels are 4" pcd, but I think they are hub centric and probably would not be safe for a driven wheel.

You could always try a Mini 10" wheel (maybe a little "too" space-saving) or an Austin America/MG1100 wheel (12"). They both have the correct hole pattern (I am pretty sure at least) but the offset could mess it all up.

i don't go far so I ditched my spare and just cary one of those goop cans to limp home if need be.

I almost stuck a donut spare from a VW in the rally midget but it was the same size as the regular spare.
Not much space saved.

hmmm... maybe a continental kit? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Wave, yep, a strap between the bumper mounts under the car with a ball. Towed a sailfish all over Ohau, Hawaii. Never a prob. Would think a motercycle trailer would work just fine.

Yep! Pulled an MGB home on a trailer with my Sprite once. Worked fine but I'll never do that again!!
