Had the AF point "mid-snoot" as I recall. But at β±5.6 DoF is awfully shallow with the lens fully extended.Nice light! In the first pic looks like focus might have been a tad forward of the eye.

Nice! That 50 prime does a great job in low light. My 50 1.4 is one of the old EF mounts Iβve kept and use with an adapter.Same lighting, different cat. Used the 50mm prime β±1.4 at β±2.2, 1/125th sec. ISO 200.

On looking at this thread and the optics involved, I realize the DoF in the images would be the same regardless of the sensor size (or focal length). Angle-of-acceptance and β±-stop are the same in all cases, only the size of the sensor/medium recording the image is different. DUH!! Never gave it consideration 'til I had no DoF preview "button" on the D7500 for that last shot and took my 'best guess' at it from familiarity with a prime 50 and aperture at the distance.Nice!
