I know Moss has them, but was wondering what other sources are available for a complete interior kit for a 78 Spitfire. I just want to compare and contrast materials and prices. I want the original molded carpet set and want the black w/ black houndstooth seat inserts for the interior. (My car has original Tan interior, but since its a white car I want a black interior).

The Roadster Factory currently has a web special on seat upholstery; I think they just finished a special on door panels.

In the UK, there's always Newton Commercial, which I think might be the source of TRF's upholstery. Either way, Newton is about as good -- and original in style -- as it gets.

Spitbits has a lot of that stuff and I've always had good dealings with them.

If you are considering UK companies you should have a look at Rimmer Brothers
Or there is James Paddock
Also Quiller Triumph may be woth a look for comparitive purposes and you could also look at Canley Classics
You tend to get what you pay for and many of the above may use the same source for their parts, but it may be worth seeing if they have any offers on at the moment.

Brithish Northwest has a decent price. I am in the process of doing my seat covers in the black and white houndstooth myself. I found a set on ebay uk for $188 US plus 60 shipping = $248. My local upholsterer found a ford black and white hounstooth almost identical to the Triumph patern and quoted me $348 to make new, or $300 for all black vinyl. I went with the ebay uk, but that was a individual not a supplier.
The pound is low right now, so UK suppliers are a good bet even with high shipping.
That original moulded carpet will be a bear to ship.

Basil, I received an ad flyer from Rimmer Bros last week that shows Spit interior stuff on sale right now, I think until March 15 or similar.

Check Rimmer Brothers website, there are some really good deals right now. And with the reduced exchange rate, it's a bit better.

let us know . . .

Just a quick warning about imports. I live in New Zealand and bought from James Paddock. When the parts were faulty James Paddock refused to abide by NZ consumer law :-(

I used this company in the UK and had a pleasant experience. I would use them again in a heartbeat.
