Source of Vinyl for padded dash top Bj8?

Hello All !

I am unertaking to replace the slightly worn padded dashtop to my BJ8. It is a textured black vinyl, but I am having a problem matching the grain properly. Does anyone have a source of bulk supplies of the correct vinyl?

There is a small 1 inch tear at one end, might I be better from the point of view of originality to reapair the tear and respray with a vinyl paint? I've done this on the interior seats with good results.

Maybe I should the dash top up in leather!!!

I found a pretty good match for black vinyl at JoAnne's Fabric Stores when I recovered door top rails on my BJ8. However, they had numerous shades of black vinyl, so it was imperative to take the original in for a match. don't know if JoAnne's is available in Toronto though.
