Source of Valencia Blue?

Hey. Am putting back together my '68 GT6 MKI, pretty ratty but making it better bit by bit... Anyone know a source for accurate Valencia Blue lacquer (or other more contemporary paint type)? Or maybe a mix formula that I can take to a local shop?
Thanks!
Mark M.

I'm not sure myself, but I can refer you to someone who does know if you'd like, considering my engine bay is painted Valencia Blue. I also don't know if you're looking for a local shop or not, 'cause this sure isn't local...

Joe Hash of Joe Hash's Triumph, Ltd, in Grottoes Virginia can tell you. His number is 540-249-4950. Just tell him that Webb Sledge referred you to him if you do decide to call. He doesn't mix the paint himself, but I know he knows of a shop that can do it in PPG, and Dupont too, I think. He also should have the paint code.

Shouldn't it be close to the Valencia Orange section in the supermarket...I'll be here all week...tip your server...try the veal. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Actually, wwww.autocolorlibrary.com might be a good lead.

Any place that mixes and supplies auto paint should be able to either use a paint code or take a sample of your paint to give you an accurate match.
Good luck buying laquer, it's not sold to professional shops anymore. EPA regulations have pretty much prohibited its use. It's only used in small quantities or specialty shops.
Single stage enamel is about as close as you can get. But Base/ clear is not as hard as it sounds and it really gives good results.
