Does someone have a source for the ribbed rubber material that lines the inside of the Bugeye doors? Also, what is the best way to glue this in?
Kevin

Seems to me others have used floor runner.

AH Spares and Heritage Trim both have a nice set. The look is very close to original. The only problem is that they are rather thick and somewhat stiff. I'm about to install a set from Heritage Trim. I've done a test fit and have determined that it's not an easy job especially with trying to get adequate adhesive in the right places.

I sprayed mine with SEM Portola Red. It's a great match to the original Cherry Red. A problem occurred in that the surface stayed tacky. The solution per SEM is to top coat it with SEM Clear Coat. I'm going to do that tomorrow.

I will check out the runner material, JP. I didn't see the door trim at AH Spares, but I will look again. Haven't heard about Heritage trim before, but I will check them out. What type of glue are you using, Ray?

AH Spares part number XTRP145.

I haven't decided on the adhesive. I'd like to use 3M General Trim Adhesive 08088 but I'm not sure that spraying is the right alternative.

I generally use the 3m spray adhesive too, but in this case I haven't figured out how to do it without making a mess, not to mention if the two surfaces make contact before I want them to, I am in trouble. I was considering using the 3m glue that comes in a tube. Even that will be tricky. I did contact AH Spares and asked them how it is normally done. If I get any good advice, I will post it.
