Hello all, I’ve had a love affair with Triumphs since my mid teens (mid 70s) when my sister bought her 1st car. Yes it was a Triumph 2000 sedan, that had some mods such as triple stromberg carbs . I became the maintenance mechanic, eventually for all my hard work my sis gave me the car ! Had that beauty for many years . She was retired when I went to uni ,need too much money to keep her on the road .
then when I was about to graduate I took out a student loan to buy 2500s, eventually my true dream to have a TR was realised in 1985, and sold the 2500s for a 1969 TR6 , that was my daily drive for some time , then about 1988 decided on a full rebuild. This unearthed some major body issues ! Went looking for a replacement body and found a rolling chassis with body attached rebuilt race prepped engine and running gear ,a stash of new parts almost complete inventory to rebuild , it was a 1972 British delivered car 150 hp PI had been imported to Australia when original owner moved here with the AirForce. Have original delivery papers , all receipts throughout its years here in OZ . Used my original TR6 and the 1972 to complete one car ,then sold of all the excess parts.
This car has been off and on the road a number of times, interrupted by children needs and moving homes and some lost interest ,now she is registered and running very nicely a few little issues still to sort out, overdrive intermittently operates, some paint issues and a few irritating rattles.

my love has been rekindled .Thankyou for your welcome, and all the help the forum provided prior to my membership .
Cheers HawkTR6
