I'm sorry & I'm not trying to stir any more animosity- but my husband has Agent Orange so badly that it is marching on him in different ways we can't even keep up with the specialists. The VA another touchy subject has denied him 100 % disability be cause the order of his illnesses do not conform with their payment schedule. I have fought this for 17 years. I have British Cars which I adore. We have American Cars which we have collected & treasured. We have an economy which has stifled the only way I sustain my livelyhood which depends on frivolous expenditures( I sell fireworks) I'm trying not to influence this forum with my bitterness that our economy- whether Global, fiscal, local,,or residual, has become because we all resonate with consequences-but as we the little people which I am just a shell shocked member struggle to understand why it is that the magnitude of Corporate failure depends on my ability to compensate for failure I am in no way responsible for and to accept blindly the solutions presented as lifelines for fiscal survival astounds me. My struggle / your struggle.....the boat is rocking & there don't appear to be enough life jackets.- Sorry Basil, but my last nerve has been unstrung.

Randi,

I understand exactly what you're saying.
I hope it goes well for you. It's tough when
it's out of your hands on how the situation
is handled.
Hopefully,common sense will prevail.

Randi - I am so sorry to read that. I know it's not much help, but I don't know what else to say.
Best of luck to you.

Randi, we're all here for you. Hang in there, good people like you guys always pull through the tough times in life.

our prayers are with you and yours Randi. Know that you're not alone. Thousands are in similar situations around the country. It is going to be tough times for many in the near future. One good thing that will hopefully come of all this will be a renewal of community instead of an isolated reliance on government. I hope that we as Americans will see the needs of our neighbors and finally start doing something about it.
P.S. I agree with you on all these corprate bailouts..... I hold with my opinion. the deal should be.... "We'll bail you out, but those who have been in charge are all going to prision, and we're installing responsible executives to put things right.

Randi: Our prayers are with you. Our President elect
has promised immediate help for the Vets. Let's hope
he is a man of his word.

Banjo!

You have no idea what a slap in my face it is to drive
by the beautiful AIG corporate building in San Juan,
then on up the expressway past the Federal prison and
then into my driveway and watch my neighbor and his
family getting evicted because medical bills brought
them to their knees and bankruptcy.

Seems to me the AIG folks belong in the prison and
my neighbor belongs in his house.

If I walked in the front door of AIG with a small pistol
and demanded a smallish $500 personal bailout, I'd be up
the road in the Club Fed so fast my head would spin off.
