Hopefully, "The Prince of Darkness" cannot support that particular electrical upgrade...

There's a local Crown Vic with 24's. I know the exact size because of the large "24" emblems on each front fender. It looks like a giant Hot Wheels car.

Bee chin. Is that positive ground?

"You might not be familiar with the maker, Austin-Healey, but that’s okay. I’ve been exposed to the British car maker for most of my life, but I never considered it interesting in any way. Austin-Healeys have never excited me and you’d rarely see one outside of a classic car show. Typically, they would be grouped together with an identical style applied to them all. The only thing that separated them was their colour. No one would ever dare to step outside the line and do something different."

Who is this wanker? That's not been my experience with the marque or its legion of fans.

From his pictures, I'd guess he's in his mid-30s and his point-of-view probably doesn't differ a whole lot from other younger people that didn't grow up around these cars, just the same way that I didn't care too much about cars from the 30s unless they had a big V8 stuffed in them. Obviously, there are many of us that are crazy about Healeys and no doubt some of the younger people will find them of interest, but I'm afraid that number will be dwindling.

Come on Bob admit it ......you ordered two didnt ya ?? :encouragement:

I wouldn't mind being able to raise the rears going over steep driveways.

I'm not sure it's just a generational thing; there are some that appreciate originality, and some that want to 'fix' and 'improve' what the designers and engineers did. But, the markets have passed judgement; which do you think would bring the most at auction, a pristine, survivor 100M--Carini's garage find went for near $200K IIRC--or one that's been 'bagged' and had an SBC dropped in it?

BTW, my dad's neighbor is considering selling his Mercedes Gullwing (the 1950s version). It's a survivor except for a couple paint jobs. Anyone got $1.5M+ burning a hole in his pocket? I rode in it once, it felt like a Panzer compared to my BN2.

Each to their own Bob .
I as you well know am not a concourse guy but I do like to stick to the original "look" of the car with personalized improvements .
Im on the aston martin chat forum similar to this and I just cringe when I see what some of the owners do to their beautiful astons . Im talking gold foil wrap and carbon fibre do dads everywhere , suspension so low a discarded piece of gum must feel like a 6" curb etc etc .
I also know a guy with a totally original gull wing but its not for sale at any price ..
