My son sold his glider to a fellow in Germany. The Swift glider is so rare here, there is only two left in the US and only one flying. The Europeans buy them up as soon as one hits the market. He bought a power aerobatic aircraft and venturing into power aerobatic competition. His new aircraft will climb vertically 1000 feet straight up! He held the national glider championship 3 years and figured it's time to move on. Hopes to be ready to compete in Texas next month. Quite a kid! PJ

That looks like fun. Lemme know if you ever want to adopt.

Just one flight in the glider before it goes... pleeeeze!

This is the son who was ill? Looks lie a great recovery!

Living in the shadow of Harris Hill, I'm sure there are some sad folks in my area. Getting my glider pilots license has always been in the back of my mind. Hope he has fun with his new toy.

Yes JP, this is him! Amazing isn't it! The doctors gave him a 10% chance of survival when in the hospital and he fooled them all. After 15 days on a respirator, the staff in the ICU call him the miracle patient. Many prayers from around the country and the professionals who attended him, gave him back to us! He views life a little different lately. He is now less business oriented and more for the family. He is one of the most positive and determined people I have ever known. He still thinks second best is not good enough though and constantly pursues perfection in his flying.
Elliot, Sorry but the glider is presently in Germany! This all came down so fast, I never got the chance to fly it either! :friendly_wink: PJ

Thanks Paul... my favorite so far is flying the Pilatus, then maybe the Grob 103.
