The '67 MGB GT's starter's been making noises
when I try to start it - but it always starts.
I stopped at the auto parts store on the way to
the auto electric place.Got in,turned the key - nothing.
Push started it,then drove it home & parked it in the gar-
age, where it's been setting for a few weeks.
Decide to take a look,& see how hard it'd be to
remove the starter.Original trans was replaced with an all-
synchro one,so I'm not sure how easy it is to pull/install
it.
When I looked at the starter,I noticed a loose
wire,reconnected it,& the GT started right up,so it's not
just a paperweight anymore.

always check the simple things....

glad it is running again

One time the Spitfire was dead- bunch of car people at a meeting decided to help. We had the ignition apart, voltage regulator tested, checked light switch, all kinds of wrenches and electric testing equipment. I finally got a wire brush and cleaned the battery terminals. Started right up.

~ALWAYS~ check th' Dumb Stuff FIRST!

Hey, you fixed it. Sounds pretty smart to me.

If you ignore something long enough, its source will become apparent.
