I'm starting to think that somewhere, an ex girlfriend is sticking pins in a dool with my name on it.

First it was my back, I feel backwards through the companion way on my Catalina 25 and caught the corner of a sleeping berth on my lower back. Then it was my eyes. About three years ago; blood vessels in my retinas are leaking causing distorted vision and blind spots. Next overly high blood pressure and choleserol. Then gout in my right foot.

Last night at 5:30 I let the dog out. He didn't come back for a while so I went to look for him. I grabbed the light and stepped out the back door. When I put my left foot down, I felt something pop in my calf and felt a TERRIBLE pain. I current can't put any weight on it and a can't walk. Good thing the gout isn't acting up right now or I'd be completly crippled. It may not have been a pop, just the pain came on so strong and sudden, it might have felt like a pop.

I spent 8.5 hours cleaning the house yesterday. At least I got most of it done.

I'm tellin' ya, somewhere a chic is jabbin' pins in a doll !!!

NEVER feel backwards on a boat. *sheesh*

...and apparently ya need to be reminded of the ol' adage: "let sleeping berths lie"...

Genuinely bad. Have you a good retinology practice near-by?

BTDT: Never push an E-Jag V-12 into a lift bay, then.

It'll happen again.

Just a hint.

Nope! It's <span style="font-style: italic"><span style="font-weight: bold">ME</span></span>...

I have that VoDo dool.
An' I use chopsticks run thru a pencil sharpener (A.K.A. "Pointy Sticks"), not pins, SILLY. :jester:

Hahahaha, thanks Doc, I needed that. About the new Doc spell chack feature here, y'all should know I don't do to good on pain meds. Funny thing about "feeling" on the boat, I was just standing there and WHOOOOPS !!! Sharpened chopstick would explain allot Doc...

Funny thing is, I ran into a crazy ex girlfriend at the doctors office. She seemed pleasantly suprised to see me hobbling around in a big boot.
( although I get ~SOOOO~ much satisfaction out of introducing my wife to an ex.)

Ya know, I just wonder if the chic ~new~ I was gonna be there this morning... :confuse:

...wonderin' how many chopsticks she had in that purse. :eeek:

Doc, I had a Harvard trained retinoligist here who is supposed to be the "Dr. House" of the retinal world. He was stumped about what was going on or what to do. After a year and a half of TWO shots in the eye every month at a out of pocket cost of $800 a month, I went agaist his advice, treated it my way and it got better. It was getting worse with his course of treatment.

He seemed to have believed it was a lack of circutation below my beltline. My belt and pants were cutting off blood flow to my lower extremities and causing increased pressure in my upper half, causing my retinal vessels to leak.

He chose to remedy this situtation by relieving the tension my belt and pants were causing by lightening my wallet... :smirk:

Lead pencils NEVER were lead...here's an excerpt form Wikipedia...

"Some time before 1565 (some sources say as early as 1500), an enormous deposit of graphite was discovered on the approach to Grey Knotts from the hamlet of Seathwaite in Borrowdale parish, Cumbria, England.[1][2][3] The locals found that it was very useful for marking sheep. This particular deposit of graphite was extremely pure and solid, and it could easily be sawn into sticks. This remains the only large scale deposit of graphite ever found in this solid form.[4] Chemistry was in its infancy and the substance was thought to be a form of lead. Consequently, it was called plumbago (Latin for "lead ore").[5][6] The black core of pencils is still referred to as lead, even though it never contained the element lead.[citation needed] In German, the word for pencil still is Bleistift, literally lead stick."
