Its all in the little details... I got lots more to do, but I figured why not share in some progress

Before, with the rusty bracket for that useless carbon canister...

After some Dremel time, a wire wheel, and a bit of Duplicolor, also a run through the dishwasher for the overflow bottle.

Before with bondo and rust... yuck!

After a few days worth of meticulous taping and tedious paint prep, then some Duplicolor. I also bolted the holes, as per the suggestions here.

Before... yeah, thats just nasty! I removed the old rusty coil before I remembered my camera.

After a lot of time, a new coil, and a lot of replaced/rerouted wiring.

Looks good. The trouble is that the new part looks so nice, and "as long as it is apart, might as well..." And the car is off the road for two weeks. On the other hand, it looks so good and feels good, I think, to see clean and shiny paint.

Pete - have you tried using a plastic cleaner like this?

Nope. Never even heard of it. Whats the scoop?

I've not tried that one specifically, but others I've tried haven't done much for the overflow bottles. Apparently, the plastic itself turns dark and mottled, it's not just dirt on the surface.

This is what I plan to try:

How do you find these obscure ideas and links!
It was mentioned on some Triumph forum. If not this one, then probably Team.Net. Unfortunately all I saved was the link.
