Pinion has been stripped and painted, oil seal replaced, waiting for paint to dry to reassemble. Done
Found two more bolts to cad plate. done
Found a 948 exhaust manifold and a spin on oil filter adapter. Thanks Hap.
Bad shock being replaced, thanks Peter.
Master cylinder off being bored, sleaved and fited with brass pistons along with the rest of the inside goodies.
Next this month.
An order when Tony gets back so I can complete the engine. Lifters and such.
Blast and two part paint the tub.
Have front spendles rebushed and pins fited, etc. Well maybe next month, that's $350 job.
It seems to be going slowly but all in all not too bad considering the heat and the outlay.
Waiting on a set of carbs and some other stuff from JollyRoger that will just about put me over the top. I need to send the carbs out to be rebuilt and polished and such, $350. At that point I think all the mechanicals will be preaty much complete except for the brakes and rear and front suspension bits. Thats will have to be a seperate order as I need new A frames and brake drums all around.
With a bit of luck when the tub is ready I will be ready as well to start assembling. Golly only knowes what I will find I forgot, bet it will be something important.
Chrome bits, think I will try to go with new stuff, $600?
Anodized bits, boy is this an expensive job. $700?
Wireing, $350?
Interior, $600?
Some dash items, $300
Stearing wheel, $400?
Tires and batt, $200?
This is not comming along near as fast as Binabox did, sigh, and may or may not look as nice.
