Some Pig

My wife and I were in Ohio the last part of October to visit family and participate in a niece's wedding. It was a fine weekend. We were driving down the country road where many of her childhood friends lived, when we saw a pig at Bob and Betty's farm. They were hog farmers for a long time and several of Bob and Betty's kids went to school with my wife. The pig was interesting in that it had a wooden leg. You don't see that very often so we stopped to catch up on the kids, ask about the pig, and the wooden leg. Bob told us that the pig was very smart and actually saved Bob and Betty's life. There was a fire in the house, middle of September I think he said, and the pig broke through the house door, ran up the stairs to their bedroom, pushed open the door, pulled the covers off the bed, waking them up, allowing them to call the fire department and get out of the house. Betty told about the time earlier in the summer when the grandkids were swimming and the pig pulled the middle grandkid out of the pool just before lightning struck. Bob said "That pig saved our lives." "And the Chuckie's life too" Betty added. That is some pig we agreed. "But what about the wooden leg?" my wife asked. They looked at us seriously and answered "A pig that good you don't eat all at once."

I was wondering if the wooden leg had been burnt with the fire...aparently not.
